Kathleen Jones lives in the Lake District and is a Sunday Times best-selling author of biography. Her subjects include Katherine Mansfield, Catherine Cookson, Christina Rossetti, Margaret Forster and the women of the Wordsworth and Coleridge families (which won the Barclays Bank prize for biography and became a Virago Classic). Kathleen worked in broadcast journalism in England and the Middle East, and is also the author of two historical novels (one of which was the Historical Novel Society’s ‘Book of the Year’) and four collections of poetry. She has taught creative writing for the Open University. Her autobiography ‘Reading my Mother’, is to be published in the autumn of 2024.
