Furzie – aka Michelle Hickman creates sculptures with character and humour using just wool and a wire armature, her quirky commissions have sold and travelled all around the world. Michelle is passionate about needlefelting and loves teaching the craft, which she has been doing successfully now for over ten years. Her aim is to make the classes fun and enjoyable for grown-ups who don’t want to grow up! Needlefelting is still a young craft and there are therefore no rules – except to stab the wool not your fingers! A regular tutor here at Higham Hall for the last three years. Michelle has her own workshop near Taunton but also travels to venues up and down the country.
