What a joy to bring up a tutor of this quality up this far north so that skills can be developed without having to travel all the way down south. Toni is an exceptional artist with a teaching ethic that suits lifelong learning well.

Higham Hall College Bassenthwaite Lake, Cockermouth, Cumbria, United KingdomSkills passed down by medieval craftspeople to create small-scale designs using 24 carat gold leaf and pigments (a small amount of lead is possible). No drawing experience necessary, choose from a selection of medieval designs, including illuminated letters. MANUSCRIPT ILLUMINATION: MORE CHALLENGING TECHNIQUES (EVERYTHING INCLUDED)
Higham Hall College Bassenthwaite Lake, Cockermouth, Cumbria, United KingdomThis course is only suitable for those with experience in laying manuscript gesso and using loose leaf gold. You will work on three small projects, one combining flat and raised gilding, one combining different colours or textures of gold (with the option to add tooling) and one using shell gold and watercolour paint. There will
