The literary landscape of the Lake District has been dominated by men while its female writers of both the 19th and 20th century have been overlooked. The course will look at the lives and work of Dorothy and Dora Wordsworth, Sara Coleridge, Harriet Martineau, Beatrix Potter, Margaret Forster and Sarah Hall.
