Chine collée is a collage technique that adds extra layers to your prints. It is a great method for introducing areas of specific colour, text or photographic images into your prints. Chine collée can be incorporated into many different types of relief and intaglio printmaking, so whether you are doing drypoint, collagraph, lino or woodcut you will be able to extend your prints in new and exciting ways.  

We will create our own decorative collage papers as well as exploring a range of ‘ready made’ papers with images, text, maps and more. These papers will be incorporated into both relief and intaglio prints, so each student will take home a series of unique images.
